WHAT IS B.A.B.B.L.E?

B.A.B.B.L.E. is an acronym; "BOYS AND BOIS BLENDING LIFE EXPERIENCES"

B.A.B.B.L.E. was started 5 years ago, by robert T, as a support group and educational 'chat fest' for subs in the Houston L/leather and BDSM communities. It has been revived by the membership of HLB and quickly become a staple in the Houston L/leather community.

It is here to help those new to the L/leather lifestyle, yet have no where to go to find out about living a L/leather lifestyle.

It is here to refresh and enhance those of us who have been in the community for years.

The intended purpose of the monthly event is to offer support and education to all subs in the C/community, whether a novice or established... It is to give subs, and those born to be in this L/lifestyle, a place to learn more, ask questions, exchange ideas and share personal experiences to better ourselves and our L/leather community; and to enrich our individual L/leather families.

WHEN IS B.A.B.B.L.E?

B.A.B.B.L.E. is the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7pm.

Currently, it is held at The 611 on the back patio. The 611 is the home bar to the Houston Nomads and has always supported the Houston L/leather community.

HLB graciously acknowledges and thanks the owner, management, and staff of The 611 in allowing us to utilize their establishment for the event.

WHAT IS THE FORMAT?

B.A.B.B.L.E. is a 1 hour to 1.5 hour  monthly educational 'seminar' that is open to all subs in the Houston C/community. It was created to give all subs in the C/community a chance to share information, educate, support each other and create stronger L/leather C/community.

Each month a different topic is presented and discussed, either by the B.A.B.B.L.E. coordinators or a guest P/presenter. Topics are educational  and relate to living a L/leather lifestyle.

While 'play' topics are discussed in their technical aspects, actual  'Play' or 'Demos' are not part of any meeting.

B.A.B.B.L.E. is an educational format, not a 'play party'.

Topic Examples:

F/family protocols versus P/public protocols.

L/leather lifestyle history.

Grooming, public appearance, and public presentation.

Technical aspects and respecting personal limits of 'fetish play'.

Leather cleaning and care.

etc... Anything that encompasses the L/leather way of life.

The B.A.B.B.L.E. format allows for guest P/presenters to give a 30 minute presentation on a topics relevant to the L/leather and BDSM communities - After which there is a 15-20 minute question and answer with the guest S/speaker.

During a guest P/presentation and Q&A, B.A.B.B.L.E. is open to anyone, Dom or sub, in the L/leather and BDSM communities. After the P/presentation and Q&A, all Doms are requested to vacate and allow the subs to privately review, discuss, and debate the information presented and how it relates to their individual F/families.

Although B.A.B.B.L.E. will not have a guest P/presenter at every meeting,  Guest P/presenters will be announced in advance.
